So I'm sitting here at my computer with my long red locks pouring out behind my favorite fedora, in Bermuda shorts and a t-shirt at the epicenter of OH...Cincinnati, Writing about betting football. I can hear you now, "what does this yahoo from OkiSkoki know about betting football?". Well let me give you a little background...
I spent nearly all of the nineties slithering my way through various (and somewhat seedy) Las Vegas Casino Sportsbooks...after a year of crumbling up my hard earned dollars and dropping them in the waste basket in the form of sports tickets I decided that maybe a little research was needed to actually make money doing this. So I set my mind to starting the next season with a smallish bankroll, end the season over 50%, with the ultimate goal being to walk into my favorite Casino and make one big bet on the SuperBowl.
Now please keep in mind that the internet was not what it is today, so researching was basically limited to the rags I could get my hands on that were unreliable at best and at worst biased by whatever sportsbook had paid them the most. There was not the plethora of information at my fingertips that there is today. But even with the odds and gods against me I accomplished my goal and as an added bonus won with my SuperBowl bet.
I still hear you..."What's your point, why am I still reading this?".
Well, first thanks for still reading and second I'm doing it because I love football, gambling on football, researching football, finding the best online casinos to bet with, etc. So I figured I could pull all of that together, share it with like minded folks and as an added bonus it gives me and hopefully others a sounding board for what we think about the games, the lines and whatever else comes to mind.
